We are delighted to announce the upcoming launch of a completely reimagined Master’s degree in Conducting for Concert Stage, Opera, Studio & Screen — a bold new program tailored for the evolving demands of the 21st-century conductor.
Rooted in deep artistic tradition yet fully modern in its delivery, the curriculum emphasizes hands-on podium training, leadership development, collaborative musicianship, and advanced conducting technique. Students will engage directly with professional orchestras, ensembles, and opera companies in Bulgaria, alongside high-level instruction in score analysis, rehearsal practice, and performance preparation.
This is a practice-led program designed to deliver maximum podium time and individual mentorship from internationally acclaimed conducting faculty.
The full website will launch on September 25, with applications opening for the September 2026 intake shortly thereafter.
Please note that the Gleeson Conducting Institute is finalizing academic partnership with a new European university and is no longer affiliated with Irish American University. This transition marks a significant step forward in our mission to offer elite, globally accessible conducting education.
